Harpaul Bhamra, MD
Dr. Bhamra joined NYU Winthrop Hospital as a Neuro-ICU attending on August 1, 2018. He completed his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at the University of California in Davis, CA. After a few years in the industry, he returned to school and earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. He subsequently completed his Residency in Neurology at NYU Langone Medical Center in NY, NY where he was chief resident. Dr. Bhamra trained in Neurocritical Care at Washington University in St. Louis, MO ultimately returning to New York to pursue his medical career.
Dr. Bhamra focuses his care on brain injured patients requiring an ICU level of care. His academic interests include subarachnoid hemorrhage, management of cerebral edema and workflow optimization. He is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
