Matthew Bokhari, MD
Dr. Bokhari joined NYU Winthrop Hospital as a neurohospitalist attending in August 2019. Originally from the suburbs of New York City, he completed his undergraduate degree in biology, classical studies, and philosophy at Boston University in 2009 where he graduated cum laude with honors. He then earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 2015. He subsequently completed his residency in Neurology in 2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals where he was a chief resident.
Dr. Bokhari focuses his care on general neurologic care of patients who present to the hospital, ranging from seizures to encephalitis to stroke. His academic interests include teaching of medical students and residents and quality improvement. He is a member of the of American Academy of Neurology and the Neurohospitalist Society.
