Yefim Cavalier, DO
Dr. Yefim Cavalier joined the Institute for Neurosciences at NYU Winthrop Hospital in July 2015 as a Neurohospitalist.
He is a graduate of Adelphi University, where he completed his study of the biological sciences with departmental honors and research awards. After receiving his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, he went on to pursue his Neurology Residency training at Albany Medical Center. He served on the Graduate Medical Education Committee and was Chief Resident during his final year of training. He has completed a multidisciplinary fellowship in Sleep Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Cavalier’s clinical interests include the overlap of sleep disorders in neurologic diseases, such as epilepsy, stroke, and neurodegeneration. He has presented several posters at national conferences and has authored several manuscripts in peer-reviewed medical journals.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, New York State Neurological Society, Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Medical Society of the County of Queens.
